Classical Conversations of Royersford – Middle School and High School Challenge Programs

Homeschooling thru High School? Or thinking about it?

I am the Challenge III director for Classical Conversations community in Royersford. Classical Conversations is a Christ-centered classical curriculum. "Caesar and Cicero, Shakespeare and Plato, American history and poetry, as well as chemistry, logic, philosophy, and mathematics are the gardens in which they cultivate their conversations." 2016 Curriculum catalog.

Classical Conversations meets one day a week where I will go over any questions the students may have and cover information for the next week’s assignments. Of course, the parent is the teacher and can adjust the curriculum to best meet their student’s needs.

You must be 12 years old to participate at the Challenge A or B (Middle School courses), and 14 years old to join a Challenge I- IV classes (high school courses). You do not need to have been in CC before, nor do you have to do the Challenge levels in order. These are high school classes that are adaptable to your child's needs. As the Director, I use a Socratic method to encourage the conversation in the group. This gives the students a chance to discuss major educational topics with a group of their peers in a respectful and balanced environment where everyone is heard.

If you are interested in more information, you may visit the Classicalconversations.com website or contact me directly at ccdirector.mh@gmail.com. I would be happy to speak at any group meetings, speak individually with families, or mail you a catalog.

Open Registration is now going on for all Challenge Levels! Reserve your spot, these classes will have no more than 12 students at each level!

The Royersford CC Community meets on Tuesdays from 8:30-3:00pm
At the Trinity EC (The Lighthouse) Church
66 S. Limerick Road Royersford, PA 19468

"To know God, and to make Him known."
